OWNER: Notice is hereby given by the Village of Grafton, Wisconsin by the undersigned Director of Public Works that it will receive bids for the replacement of sidewalk as follows: 

CONTRACT # 22-02: Approximately 5777.0 SF4” Concrete Sidewalk (Remove and Replace) Approximately 80.0 SF5” Concrete Sidewalk/Driveway (Remove and Replace) 

CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: Specifications and contract documents may be downloaded from the Village of Grafton web site: www.QualityLifeGrafton.com/bids for no charge. 

TIME: Sealed bids will be received until 11:00 A.M. Central Standard Time on the 1st day of April, 2022 at the Department of Public Works, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

 BIDS: All bids shall be addressed to Amber Thomas, P.E., Director of Public Works, 675 North Green Bay Road, Grafton, WI 53024, and shall be enclosed with the name and address of the bidder and the contract for which the bid is being submitted on the outside of the sealed envelope. 

COMPLETION DATE: Contractor can begin work on or after May 2, 2022. The contractor shall be given 6 weeks to substantially complete the project, time will begin upon mobilization into the Village. Contract shall be granted an additional week to complete landscape restoration. All work on this contract shall be completed by September 23, 2022. 

QUALIFICATION OF BIDDERS: Bidders shall file Contractors Qualification Statement prior to bid opening. Contractors must have a minimum of 5 years of experience with municipal sidewalk removal and replacement projects, or similar experience. References listed must include contracts for similar municipal projects completed. Applicable experience with root removal and similar specifications is also preferred. 

BID SECURITY: A certified check, or satisfactory bid bond payable to the Village of Grafton in the amount of not less than five (5%) percent or more than ten (10%) percent of the bid shall accompany each bid as guarantee that if the bid is accepted the bidder will execute and file the Contract Performance Bond and Insurance Certificate as required by this contract within ten (10) days after Notice of Award of the Contract by the Village. 

BID REJECTION: The Village reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any informalities or irregularities in bidding or accept any bid or bids which, in the opinion of the Village, shall serve the Village's best interest. 

BID WITHDRAWAL: No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the time and date set for the opening thereof, without the consent of the Village. Published by authority of the Village of Grafton, Wisconsin.
