Helpful Information Following Recent Storms

With the recent rain events, and unfortunately more on the way, the Village of Grafton would like to provide the following helpful information;

  • The Village will be conducting a SPECIAL PICKUP of storm damaged items. Please have your items curbside no later than 7:00 AM on Tuesday September 4th. Village crews will be making only one pass through the Village.
  • Residents will have to contact a private cleaning company of their choice. The Village does not offer in home cleanup services.
  • Be sure to document any storm damage with photographs and keep copies of invoices detailing cleanup and/or repair costs.
  • Storm damage claims should initially be directed to resident’s primary insurance carrier. A secondary claim option, for State or Federal funds, exists through the Ozaukee County Emergency Management Department. Please see the attached news release. Lastly, residents have the ability to submit a claim to the Village of Grafton. The Village’s insurance carrier independently reviews each claim and makes a determination of coverage. The Village cannot guaranty coverage of all claims.   • If your power goes out, please contact WE Energies at 800-662-4797 or visit their website at www.we-energies.com. Do not assume that they know your power has gone out.
