Closure of Bars and Restaurants

PLACE OF OCCURRENCE:  Village of Grafton

DETAILS

We received notification today from the Governor’s Office, that he has ordered a statewide moratorium on mass gatherings of 10 people or more, to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, effective at 5:00 PM today, Tuesday, March 17, 2020. 

As part of this order, he has also added that effective at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, March 17, 2020, that all bars and restaurants shall be closed except for the exemptions provided for restaurants, refer to Governor Ever’s Emergency Order #5 link, below.

We are in the process now of making contact at bars and restaurants within the Village of Grafton, to notify them of this order.  The Grafton Chamber of Commerce is also assisting the Police Department in getting this information out to area businesses.

Please refer to the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services website for further details on this order.  This order is to remain in effect until cancelled by the Governor’s Office.
