[ARCHIVED] *In-Person and Absentee Voting Information*

In-Person Absentee Voter Entrance (3.23.2020)

In-Person Absentee voting begins Monday, March 23rd at Grafton's Village Hall.

In direct response to the Coronavirus threat public health related precautions are being taken to help ensure the health of Village staff and our residents:

  • Voters must use the NORTHEAST door to Village Hall, not the front door, and enter directly into the voting area. Signs will be posted to help guide you to the appropriate entrance.
  • Access will be limited to two (2) voters at a time. Please be prepared for a slight wait time, outdoors, and be sure to observe social distancing guidelines of a minimum of 6 feet between voters while waiting.
  • The voting area is ADA accessible, ample parking is also available.
  • Voters are urged to bring their own BLACK PENS to complete their ballots. Pens will be available on site as well.

Despite In-Person Absentee voting taking place the Village of Grafton strongly urges residents to consider requesting an Absentee Ballot online at My Vote WI to minimize person-to-person contact. My Vote has simplified the request process for registered voters and the process takes mere minutes. Once completed Grafton’s Village Clerk will process your request and mail your ballot directly to you. It is simple, and takes only a few minutes. If you need assistance, you can call the Village Clerk’s office at 262-375-5300.

Or, you may complete a traditional absentee ballot application which is available here or by clicking the link below. Absentee Ballot Applications are also available in the vestibule of Village Hall between the hours of 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Most Wisconsin voters must show an acceptable photo ID when voting at the polls or by absentee ballot. Please enclose your completed absentee application and photo ID and place it in the Drop Box located in the Village Hall parking lot. Shortly afterwards an Absentee Ballot will be mailed to you, directly. The following IDs are acceptable for voting purposes:
