NexTrex Challenge has Been Completed

Recycling plastic bags can be a challenge. You CANNOT put them in your recycling cart, but you want to help the planet and keep them out of the landfill. 

Please continue to collect plastic as listed below and take it to local grocery stores for recycling. 

There is a collection bin at the Municipal Services Facility (next to the pool) where you will be able to drop off clean, dry plastic bags including

• plastic grocery bags
• bread bags
• produce bags
• bubble wrap and plastic shipping envelopes
• dry cleaning bags
• newspaper sleeves
• ice bags
• Ziploc and other reclosable food storage bags
• case over-rap from things like paper towels and cases of water
• softener salt and wood pellet bags

As an added incentive, if the Village collects 500 pounds of plastic (about 40,500 plastic bags) Trex will provide us with a new bench for Veteran's Park.
