Staffing Information

The department is staffed by a full-time Fire Chief, a full-time Assistant Chief and approximately 50 dedicated (full-time, part-time and paid-on-call) individuals with a wide-range of certifications and experience.

On a daily basis, the station is staffed by two full-time Firefighter/Paramedics working 24 hour shifts. Weekdays from 8am-6pm, two part-time Firefighter / Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) or Paramedics are also at the station to staff equipment for emergencies. If additional help is needed or additional calls come in, members of the Paid-on-Call staff respond. Weeknights from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. (Mon-Fri), as well as Saturdays and Sundays (6 a.m.-6 a.m.) are handled by our full-time and Paid-on-Call staff.

Department Training

All active members are certified Firefighters, EMTs or both! Following initial certification, all members attend regular training sessions to keep their skills up-to-date. Some members choose to receive advanced certifications and/or complete additional training in swift water rescue, rope rescue, hazardous materials, and other specialties.
