Booster Seats
All children four years of age or older must be restrained in a booster seat until they are eight years of age. Once your child reaches eight years of age, they are no longer required to ride in a booster seat, regardless of height or weight.
An exception is if a child reaches 80 pounds or 4' 9" prior to their eighth birthday. In that case, they should be restrained in a lap and shoulder belt.
