Am I Qualified to Vote?
You may vote if:
  • You are a United State citizen
  • You are 18 years of age or older
  • You have lived in the Village of Grafton for 28 days before the election
  • You are registered to vote or are registering

You may not vote if:
  • You have already voted in this election
  • You are required to report to a probation or parole officer because of a felony conviction
  • You have been ruled incapable of voting by a judge

Residents can register to vote up until the Friday before the election in the Clerk’s Office or on Election Day. You must reside at your address for 28 consecutive days to be eligible to vote. Proof of residence is required when registering less than 20 days before an election.

You must complete a Voter Registration Form. You can submit this form to the Clerk's Office by mail or at the polls on Election Day. If you choose to register by mail, you must include a copy of your driver's license with your voter registration application.

How Do I Register to Vote?
Acceptable Documents for Proof of Residence:
  • Current & Valid Driver’s License/ID Card
  • Any other Official ID card or license issued by a Wisconsin Government body or unit
  • An employee ID card with photograph, but not a business card
  • A real property tax bill or receipt for current year or year preceding date of election
  • A residential lease (must be submitted in person)
  • A picture ID from a university, college or tech college coupled with a fee receipt
  • A picture ID from a university, college or tech college coupled with on-campus housing listing provided by the attending school
  • A utility bill for the period commencing not earlier than 90 days before the day registration is made
  • A bank statement
  • A paycheck
  • A check or other document issued by a unit of government


New Village of Grafton Voter Registrations

Electors registering to Vote in the Village of Grafton after the date of March 14, 2013 are considered late registrants.  Mailed registrations will no longer be accepted after March 14, 2013.  After the date of March 14, 2013, voter registrations will only be taken in the Clerk’s Office in the Village of Grafton Village Hall located at 860 Badger Circle, Grafton.  Office hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday weekly.
