Responsibilities
The Planning and Development Department has many responsibilities, including:
- Providing staff assistance to various boards, commissions, and the public for development and preservation
- Assessing the future consequences of present and future land use patterns
- Engaging in a variety of economic development initiatives throughout the area
- Reviewing all development proposals
