Delicious meals are catered by Taher Co. of Brown Deer. The cost of each meal is a donation to the program ($4 suggestion). September 19, October 17, November 14. SIP AND SWIPE This is a hands on learning opportunity to try some of the latest technology (swipe) with light refreshments (sip). Older adults comfortable with tablets and iPads will coach others who are not familiar. Call the Senior Center to reserve a time to learn. FREE! FITNESS ROOM Our Fitness Room is open to all members of the Grafton Senior Center at no additional charge. All users are required to sign a waiver and sign up for an orientation to learn how to use the equipment correctly. The Fitness Room helps keep our seniors healthy and active! EXERCISE Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Class fee is $1.00 each class. First 30 minutes of class includes seated stretches, use of Therabands and light weights followed by low-impact aerobics to music. TAI CHI Tai Chi is one of the oldest forms of martial arts; it means supreme fist in Chinese. Tai Chi uses graceful movements that derive from nature to balance an individual’s mental, physical, and emotional well-being. Tai Chi has been proven to help self-esteem, depression, anxiety, reduce stress, and create calmness. In addition to the health benefits, there is also a self-defense application to every movement.
